Can you help us solve these Coronado History Mysteries?
Do you know who these people are?

The Coronado Historical Association is seeking your help in labeling some of the photos in our collection.  Each month we will be posting four new photos.  Who, What, When & Where?  What was the occasion and who were these people?  Can you help us identify the people in these photos?  Why were they gathered?   And if you can also name the year, that's even better!  More…

Frontline
Coronado on the Frontline: 1942-1945
Displays vividly portray what was happening on North Island, in homes, schools and churches and at the Hotel del Coronado after the bombing of Pearl Harbor in December 1941.  Photographs, documents, letters and postcards from the Museum's archive, as well as artifacts representing Coronado during this period will be on view.  A soundtrack from the era and a 1940s-style living room vignette provide an appropriate backdrop.  One poignant component focuses on the Japanese American neighbors, friends and workers in Coronado who were isolated and sent to internment camps.  The exhibit will remain on display through October.
