"Become A Library Researcher" Volunteer Training

January 10 - January 17, 2019

Coronado Historical Association Lecture Hall
1100 Orange Ave. Coronado, CA 92118

The Coronado Historical Association is actively seeking volunteers to help in our Research Library. Every year, we welcome more than 300 local and visiting researchers to the Research Library. Research volunteers help facilitate these appointments by gathering relevant archive material and helping researchers access the available resources. Research volunteers also help conduct research for upcoming Association exhibits, programs, and publications. This is a hands-on experience for those who love history.
The training to become a volunteer includes three 2-hour sessions on the following dates:
  • Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 2-4pm: Topic: Conducting Research
  • Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 2-4pm: Topic: CHA's Archival Resources
  • Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 2-4pm: Topic: Basics of PastPerfect
Volunteers are required to attend ALL THREE SESSIONS prior to being scheduled in the Research Library. Training will be conducted in the Coronado Historical Association's Lecture Hall. For more information, call 619-435-7242. We hope you join us for this opportunity to explore, learn, and share Coronado’s rich history!
