The Census Reveals
Documents, like the one pictured above, help historians tell the story of the development of our community. This particular document, a deed poll, established the official map of the South Island of Coronado in 1886. The deed poll is one of hundreds of documents in the Coronado Beach Company records collection that are in CHA's archives. Last year, this special collection was featured in the California Historical Society's California History Journal.
