This week’s scrapbook is a glimpse into the personal life and accomplishments of Arthur Holmes. It documents his school years from 1915-1926. The scrapbook includes newspaper clippings, photographs, and memorabilia including ribbons and patches all relating to Coronado Highschool, the Boy Scouts, and other local clubs. Arthur Holmes was the son of George Holmes, who served as the President of the Board of Trustees of the City of Coronado, CA from July 21, 1902, to April 15, 1912. This scrapbook was recently digitized thanks to the California Revealed project through the California State Library.
